Toyota UK Puts a Price Tag on PSA-Sourced Proace Van

After it tried to trick us on April 1 with the "touring van championship" versions of the Proace, Toyota had now released pricing details on its latest effort in the mid-size van segment. The new Proace will go on sale in the United Kingdom on July 1, with prices starting from £22,300 for the base Panel Van and rising to £27,800 for the passenger Crew Van model.
If you haven't already heard or figured it out by yourself, the Proace is the result of an OEM agreement between the Japanese carmaker and the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group, and is based on the Citroen Jumpy and Peugeot Expert models as well as the Fiat Scudo van.
In the UK, customers will have 10 versions to choose from that differ in terms of load capacity, payload and performance. There are nine panel vans in two vehicle lengths and heights, payloads of one or 1.2 tonnes, and three diesel engines, while Toyota also offers the ProaceCrew Cab with seating for up to six passengers.
According to Toyota, the standard wheelbase (L1) models measure 4,805mm overall, with a 3,000mm wheelbase, and the longer versions are 5,135mm long with a 3,122mm wheelbase. The standard height (H1) is 1,942mm, with a higher roof (2,276mm) available for the L2 wheelbase. In L1H1 specification, total load space is 5m3; in the L2H1 it increases to 6m3, while the L2H2 offers 7m3.
The three available diesel engines are all Euro-5 compliant and include a 1.6-liter unit producing 89bhp and 180Nm of torque, which is matched to a five-speed manual transmission, and a pair of 2.0-liter units with outputs of 126 and 161bhp and peak torque figures of 320 and 340Nm respectively, linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
