Nissan resurrected its Datsun brand some three decades after putting it to sleep with one purpose: to build cheap cars for emerging market such as the entire Southeast Asia region, India, Russia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
The re-born automaker's first product is the Go, a Nissan Micra-based, five-door supermini that will carry a sub-400,000 rupee (US$6,700 / €5,100) starting price when it goes on sale in India later this year.
Nissan hasn't said if it plans to widen the range of the Go with more body-styles, but we could see a three-door hatchback like the one proposed by one of our readers, Richard Doka from Hungary, and why not, even a sedan version in the likes of the Nissan Versa Sedan (also known as the sunny), being presented down the line.
Along with a regular three-door Datsun Go, Doka also photoshopped the same model with a lowered suspension and different wheels.
