Lexus Shares Video from the 'Chic' Presentation of the New LS, Plus a Clip on the Model's History

Designer Jonathan Adler and Barneys Creative Ambassador Simon Doonan were on hand to reveal the refashioned 2013 Lexus LS during a 'chic' event at the “Lexus Laws of Attraction” exhibit in San Francisco on Monday night.
Instead of calling in the media, Lexus invited more than 500 guests from the San Francisco arts and design community to show the redesigned premium saloon.
If you were wondering what went on during the event, the Japanese automaker has you partially covered with a video and a selection of photos from the unveiling of the 2013 model.
In related news, the company also published a second video with key highlights on the LS' lineage starting from the Toyota group's decision to create the Lexus brand in 1983.

2 Comments Lexus to Reveal All-New LS Flagship Sedan on July 30, will Include F-Sport Version

With a very short statement, Lexus announced on its official website that it will hold the world premiere of its new LS flagship sedan at a "special invitation-only event" in San Francisco on Monday, July 30, (current, 2012MY LS pictured above).
The Japanese carmaker added that the new 2013 LS will be offered as the LS 460, LS 460 L long wheelbase, LS 600h L hybrid sedan and the all-new LS 460 F SPORT.
We suspect that the F-Sport version of the LS will boast similar chassis and styling upgrades to the new GS F-Sport, which comes equipped with an aero package, larger wheels, bespoke interior trim, a sports-tuned suspension and the Lexus Dynamic Handling (LDH) four-wheel steering system, without any improvements to the powertrain.
Lexus' challenger to the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class in the premium segment will adopt the brand's newest L-Finesse design language as seen on the concept and production GS models as well as the new ES sedan.
The original LS was the first ever Lexus model and it was introduced in September of 1989. It was followed by three more generations, in 1994 (codenamed XF20), in 2000 (XF30) with the current model (XF40) presented in 2006 having received a subtle mid-life makeover in 2009.
