New Suzuki SX4- S-Cross Starts from £14,999 in the UK

Suzuki has released UK pricing information on the all-new SX-4 S-Cross a few months before it lands in dealerships on October 1. Prices start from £14,999 for the base petrol model with front-wheel drive and rise to £23,549 for the top-of-the line all-wheel drive diesel version.

The 4.3m long five-door model is Suzuki's first effort in the compact crossover segment and it will be built at the Japanese brand's Magyar plant in Hungary.

There are only two engine options for the SX4 S-Cross, a 1.6-liter petrol delivering 118hp (120PS) 156Nm (115 lb-ft) paired to either a five-speed manual or an optionally available continuously variable transmission (CVT), and a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel producing 118hp (120PS) and 320Nm (236 lb-ft), which is offered exclusively with a 6-speed manual and standard start-stop system.

Both powerplants can be optionally combined with Suzuki's new generation ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system that has four driver-selectable modes – auto, sport, snow, and lock.

As far as trim grades are concerned, there are four options to choose from, named SZ3, SZ4, SZ-T and SZ5, all of which come equipped with seven airbags and ESP as standard, while notable extras include a panoramic roof consisting of two sliding glass panels with a combined length of 1,000mm.

Suzuki Applies Some Minor Updates to 2014 Swift Hatch in Europe

Unless you consider LED daytime running lights and exterior mirror mounted turning signals a must, there's no need to worry about having ordered a 2013 Suzuki Swift, because these are the only noteworthy updates found on the 2014MY hatch that appeared on the Japanese carmaker's customer website in Belgium.

From the low quality pictures, the interior appears to be unchanged while the same seems to apply to the available engine range (though, Suzuki may have tweaked the powerplants).

We looked around and couldn't find an official release on the model year update for the European Swift (Suzuki's other sites continue to have the 2013MY), but we gather it will likely be officially released at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany this September.

Suzuki Freshens Up Japanese Market Grand Vitara for the 2013MY

Along with the Toyota RAV4, the Suzuki Grand Vitara is one of the oldest mainstream models in the compact SUV segment having been in production in its current form since 2005.In order to keep customer interest high, Suzuki has launched a new model year version of the domestic market Grand Vitara, which is called Escudo in Japan.
On the outside, the subtle facelift brings a newly designed front grille with twin-bars in the shape of wings, a tweaked bumper that gains black trim, black headlamp bezels and new alloy wheel styles, while Suzuki also discarded the spare rear wheel on the tailgate and moved the license plate holder.
The only changes to the interior are the new materials and colors for the seats and door panels.
There's also a new special edition model named "X-Adventure" that comes in a bespoke 'Bison Brown Pearl Metallic' finish, 18-inch wheels, a chrome front grille, privacy glass, a rear spoiler, additional standard equipment such as the sunroof and a suede interior with red accents on the seats, steering wheel and gear shifter.
Suzuki did not say if these changes will be applied on the Grand Vitara sold in markets outside of Japan.
