LG 55 Inch 1080p OLED TV Launches For $3,500

OLED TV
If you have been patiently waiting to purchase an OLED TV when the prices became a little more affordable, you might be interested to know a new LG OLED TV has launched this week and is now available to purchase for $3,500.
Even at $3,500 the price of the OLED TV is still a little steep, however when compared to the price of the first OLED TVs launched a year ago at $15,000, the latest LG TV seems to be a bargain.
OLED displays do not require a backlight providing them with deeper blacks and making the systems extremely thin when compared to LED TVs. Features of the new LG OLED display include a thickness of just 4.3mm at its thinnest point. LG explains :
“LG CURVED OLED TV is a marvel of design and performance. The Full HD 1080p screen offers a vast contrast ratio for the deepest blacks and more lifelike colors, the TV itself is only as thick as a pencil at its thinnest point. Packed with LG Smart TV features the EC9300 makes it easy to enjoy movies and more from a host of premium content providers like Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, YouTube and Hulu Plus.
Picture quality is spectacular, with Infinite Contrast that ranges from the most blazing whites to the deepest blacks. And, LG’s exclusive 4 Color Pixel technology delivers bright, vibrant colors.”
The latest LG OLED TV in the form of the LG 55EC9300 is a third generation curbed 1080p OLED display and is now available to preorder through the likes of Amazon and Best Buy with shipping commencing on August 24th, 2014. Ports include 4 x HDMI, 3 x USB, 1x  Component, 1 x Composite, 1 x Digital Audio Out, 1 x LAN
