Yesterday, the alleged Moto G2 was spotted on Zauba, hinting that the handset has landed in India in large quantities. This could mean that India may be one of the markets where the handset will go on sale.
It’s not just the Moto G2, Motorola is also expected to launch the new Moto X at a press event on September 4th. We’ve seen plethora of rumors, revealing what we can expect from both handsets. Recently, the pricing of both handsets were leaked in Brazil, with Moto G2 carrying BRL 999 (almost $445) price tag, while the Moto X+1 is priced at BRL 1,499 ($668).
What’s surprising is that these prices are a little higher then what we’ve heard before. Yesterday, Zauba listed the price per unit at Inr 10,640 ($176). This is not the retail price of the handset, which could be a little higher, but should be similar to the price of the current Moto G. There’s a chance it could be that high in Brazil since the country imposes high taxes on electronics which are not manufactured in the country.
The alleged Moto X+1 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera, 16/32GB storage, and should run Android 4.4.4 KitKat as its operating system.
As for the Moto G2, it’s rumored to feature a 4.7-inch display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP camera and should come with Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Motorola has scheduled an event on September 4th where the company is expected to announce a handful of devices, including the Moto X+1, Moto G2 and Moto 360.
