We have been hearing rumors for a while that Apple has a new Retina iMac in the work, and according to a recent report, Apple could be getting ready to update its iMac range with some Retina iMac’s.
According to a recent report from 9 to 5 Mac, Apple are currently testing their new Retina iMac range with OS X Yosemite, and Apple are expected to launch their new range shortly.
Apple are rumored to be using the same design as the current iMac for their new Retina iMac, although the display will be getting an upgrade to higher resolution display, probably either 4K or maybe even higher resolution.
References to a number of resolutions have been found in OS X Yosemite, which include a 6400 x 3600 resolution, a 5760 x 3240 resolution and a 4K resolution of 4096 x 2304 pixels.
As well as an updated display, the new iMac range is also expected to come with the latest processors, and a number of other upgrades including improved WiFi.
As yet there are no details on an exact release date for these new Retina iMac models, although Apple are expected to launch Yosemite in October, and we could possibly hear something about a new iMac at Apple’s iPad event next month.
