Smart Builds the ForTwo BoConcept, Prices It from €14,490 in Germany

Remember the Smart ForTwo BoConcept study? Well, Daimler has decided there is a market for a ForTwo designed by Danish urban interior design specialist BoConcept and will build a limited edition model that can now be ordered as a coupe and cabrio and will arrive in European at dealerships this November.
Available with electric drive (55 kW) or with the 1.0-liter gasoline engine with two power levels (70 hp and 83 hp respectively) the Smart ForTwoBoConcept starts from €14,490 ($18,890) in Germany for the base 70-hp model.
The car’s highlight is no doubt the interior, which features contrasting colors: the leather-look seats are tobacco brown, with a grey fabric insert and double stitching in the colour light lemon. The door trim, instrument panel and kneepads are also highlighted by the contrast between the tobacco brown leather look and the lemon-coloured stitching.
The same shade of yellow can be found outside on the door mirror caps and on the hub covers of the alloy wheels. The bodypanels are painted in matt crystal white, while the tridion safety cell and the alloy wheels have an anthracite look. The BoConcept logos in the mirror triangles serve to further highlight the car.
Based on the Passion equipment line, the Smart ForTwo Edition BoConcept comes with the electric windows, air conditioning with automatic temperature control, and a panoramic roof with sunblind.
As part of their cooperation, Smart and BoConcept also released a home collection called Smartville, which includes a modular sofa that has the exact same length as the Smart ForTwo (2.69m), a lounge chair, a coffee table and even table clock identical to the one found in the car.

Smart Reveals Production Version of the Forjeremy, Priced from €34,800 / $45,460

Yes, you read that right. Smart will build theForjeremy in an unspecified limited number of vehicles. The Daimler Group brand displayed the production version of the Forjeremy, a car created together with fashion designer Jeremy Scott, at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Essentially a Smart Fortwo with wings, the limited special edition goes on sale this month and will be available as a coupé with an emission-free electric drive, a Brabus electric drive or a powerful Brabus 100 horsepower petrol engine.
If you're wondering what’s with the wings, fashion designer Jeremy Scott has an explanation. “I wanted to design something out of the ordinary, something that expressed my dreams and fantasies and that transferred my fashion ideas to automotive design. I see myself driving this car and can well imagine my friends and cool people all over the world loving the unique design of this smart,” says Jeremy Scott.
We'd better not comment on that and move on to the design department. The car’s tridionsafety cell, door mirror caps and radiator grille are all painted in "Alubeam", in contrast with the bodypanels and Monoblock alloy wheels that are finished in polar white in the Brabus drive variants. The mirror triangle and rear lid are embellished by logos and lettering featuring the words “by Jeremy Scott”.
White is also the dominant color on the inside. The seats, door center panels, gear knob (petrol version only) and kneepad are all tailor made with white, embossed leather complete with white stitching. The dashboard instruments, the trim to the side of the instrument panel and the gearshift trim are all finished in Alubeam.
All three versions of the Smart Forjeremy will be built by Smart-Brabus GmbH in a tailor made manufacturing process. The cheapest version in Germany will be the 100-hp Brabus petrol model, at €33,333 ($43,550). The electric version with a 55 kW (74hp / 7PS) electric motor will be priced from €34,800 ($45,460), while the 60 kW (80hp / 82PS) Brabus electric model will cost €40,600 ($53,030) in Germany. Prices and availability in other markets will be announced soon.

Visually, the Fortwo Edition21 features a black tridion safety cell, black mirror caps, 15-inch three-double-spoke alloy wheels, subtle “Edition21” logos in the mirror triangles and LED daytime running lights.
Other touches include the choice of black or white body panels and an optional white tridion safety cell. On the inside, the special edition Fortwo receives black fabric upholstery with leather look, a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles and a cup holder.
The Edition21 will be available in limited numbers, although Smart doesn’t talk numbers. On-the-road prices for the Smart Fortwo Edition21 are £9,575 (€11,330) for the Coupé, and £11,075 (€13,010) for the Cabrio.
