LG just announced their new LG G Watch R, and now Samsung has announced another new smartwatch, the Samsung Gear S, the device comes with Samsung’s Tizen OS instead of Android Wear.
The Samsung Gear S features a 2 inch curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 480 pixels, the device is powered by a dual core 1GHz processor and it comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage.
The new Samsung Gear S comes with 3G, plus Bluetooth and WiFi, and it can be used on its own without the need for a smartphone, the device can also be connected to your smartphone.
Other specifications on the Samsung Gear S include a 300 mAh battery which will give you up to two days of usage, plus it features A-GPS/Glonass and it it is IP67 certified for dust and water resistance.

Samsung will be showing off the new Samsung Gear S at IFA next month, the device will go on sale in October, as yet there are no details on pricing.
