2015 Nissan Juke Bears 370Z Headlights and 1.2-Liter Turbo Engine

Nissan has been very careful to keep the Jukelooking as weird as it always has. The model they have brought to Geneva suffers no big changes over the outgoing variant, but it does feature new-shape headlights, the manufacturer’s new grille and some fresh tech options.
The lights are similar in shape to those found on a 370Z, though, on the Juke nose, they create a different overall look, plus they can now be had as Xenons. The new gas-filled bulbs will give it a posher appearance (from a distance and at night) and are complimented by an opening sunroof, new range of alloy wheels, an extended color palette that features three new shades plus the extensive personalization options that are now on offer.
Two-wheel drive versions will benefit from a 40 percent more cavernous boot, thanks to a rethink of the luggage area which can now hold up to 354 liters.
There’s also a new 1.2-liter (DIG-T) turbocharged engine that replaces the 1.6-liter unit the Juke’s been available with; it makes slightly less power, at 113 hp, but more toqrue than before, rated at 190 Nm (140 lb-ft). It reportedly uses 5.5 l/100 km (42 mpg US/ 51.3 mpg UK) with stop/start specified, partly on the merit of not being available with efficiency-denting all-wheel drive.
The other petrol engine, a 1.6-liter DIG-T “has been further improved to deliver lower end torque below 2,000 rpm” through obtaining a higher compression ratio than before and cooler operation of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). It can be had either as a front-wheel drive model or with all-wheel drive, mated as standard to a six-speed manual or the optional Xtronic setup (a CVT); specs for the 1.5-liter dCI remain unchanged.
Tech is another area where this revised Juke reaps benefits: all models come with trendy LED daytime-running lights as standard, while NissanConnect, Nissan Safety Shield and Around View Monitor are all desirable options.
The 2014 Juke (2015MY in North America) will go on sale this summer.

Nissan to Debut New Crossover in Geneva – Is it the Murano or Something Else?

Sometimes automakers reveal their plans in full, sometimes partially and from time to time, they pull out the mystery card, just like Nissan did today when it announced that the next member of its "rejuvenated crossover family" will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show taking its place next to the new Qashqai and X-Trail(Rogue in North America).
Unless it's an all-new model that does not currently exist in its lineup, there are only two answers to the question what car will Nissan present at the Swiss show in March: a redesigned Juke or the new generation of the Murano. If it’s the latter, then the Murano will make its North American and not world premiere in New York this April.
We'll see if we can find out more and give you an update soon.
In related news, Nissan's Geneva show stand will also host the Euro premieres of the BladeGlider concept and GT-R Nismo along with the Zero-emissions e-NV200 van.

Nissan’s NV200 Taxi Puts on a New Face for London

Nissan has unveiled the new face of its NV200-based Taxi for London, with the van…sufferingextensive aesthetic surgery in order to look similar to the city’s iconic black cabs.
Compared to the initial NV200 London taxi first unveiled in August 2012, the final version looks radically different, as Nissan listened to feedback from the London Mayor’s office, Transport for London and other key organizations that have backed the new taxi.
The NV200 cab for London is part of Nissan’s global taxi program, which also includes New York, Barcelona and Tokyo. Unlike the NV200 taxis for these cities that sport a similar look, theLondon edition gets a bespoke design, including round headlamps and re-modelled grille mirroring the traditional black cab “face”, LED lighting for the taxi sign and completely new front bumper panels.
Another London requirement was that the NV200 adhered to the strict TfL regulations governing Hackney Carriages, including the required 25-foot (7.6-meter) turning circle.
Developed for London in London by Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in Paddington, the new taxi will be launched in December 2014 with a 1.6-liter petrol engine mated to an automatic gearbox. Nissan says it has chosen this engine because it is “far cleaner, with lower levels of NOx and particulates” compared to current diesel London taxis. In 2015, Nissan will also launch a zero emission electric version of the NV200 Taxi for London.
The Nissan NV200 Taxi for London will be sold exclusively by franchised dealer group Glyn Hopkin from a purpose-built showroom in Canary Wharf.
